My style of cooking is what I call serendipitous. I buy foods in the store that have some appeal to me, speak to me as they say, that I want to use. I collect recipes that have that same sort of appeal. Then when it comes time for dinner I go over what I have, including the leftovers, cogitate for a while, gets some things out, then it happens. I’ve got it! This is why you see many of my meals using a blend of recipes with various riffs that happened along the way. I do not recommend this method for those who need to be efficient, nor get a plan together for the dinner with friends or family this coming weekend. But it makes cooking fun for me and that I find is relaxing.
